2 day Advanced Facilitation Workshop Brisbane 21-22 July 2007

21 Jul 2007 - 11:26pm
Etc/GMT+11

On the weekend of 21-22 July Bob Dick is offering a two day workshop on advanced facilitation skills.

The cost is $594, and for deserving cases the organiser is offering a small number of half price bursaries.

It is intended for people who already have some skills and experience at facilitating small groups and who wish to enhance their skills and understanding through a mix of theory, instruction, and practice.

It is likely to be relevant for consultants and facilitators, and also for managers and team leaders with some facilitation experience.

The content will be negotiated with participants. However, it is likely to include a choice from the following:

o designing, observing and diagnosing group process

o preparatory work for groups: goal setting, climate setting,

relationship and community building

o using processes derived from complexity theory for problem

solving or decision making when rational processes won't work

o facilitating learning, change, and/or meetings for

problem-solving and decision-making

o intervening in difficult situations and resolving conflict.

Bob will be using action research principles and processes to fine tune the workshop as it progresses. It will be experiential and participative, with theory and practice well integrated.
